Attribution bias is a familiar theme in the literature of modern psychology.

Wow, this makes me really really think about how the USA is always reluctant to identify crimes by white men as terrorism. Yet, at the same time lesser activities by brown or yellow men especially men born outside of the US get quickly classified as terrorism.   http://www.alternet.org/world/why-its-so-hard-understand-violence-your-country-exports-terrorism
